Service descriptions
The writing services offered include business blog articles, website copy, search-informed articles, newsletter content and content planning. Detailed descriptions and package inclusions are available on the Services and Pricing pages.
Project briefs
Every engagement begins with a written project brief covering topic, target audience, tone, word count, deliverables, revision allowance and delivery schedule.
Scope confirmation
Writing does not begin until the scope has been confirmed by both parties in writing. Any subsequent changes to the scope must be agreed in writing before implementation.
Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing complete and accurate briefing information, timely feedback within agreed revision windows, and any necessary source materials or brand guidelines.
Accuracy of supplied information
I rely on the accuracy of information supplied by the client. I am not responsible for factual errors introduced by inaccurate source material.
Research limitations
Research is conducted using publicly available sources within the time budgeted for the engagement. Specialist or primary research beyond the agreed scope may require a separate quotation.
Delivery schedules
Delivery dates are agreed in writing before work begins and are met wherever reasonably possible. Delays caused by incomplete briefs, delayed client feedback or events outside my reasonable control may adjust the schedule.
Revision limits
Each package includes a defined revision allowance. Additional revisions beyond this allowance may be quoted separately at a fair hourly or per-piece rate.
Additional work
Requests for work outside the agreed scope — including additional pages, articles, research or reformatting — will be quoted separately before commencement.
Payment terms
Package prices are payable in full at the point of purchase through Stripe Checkout. For bespoke or larger engagements, staged payments may be agreed in writing before work begins.
Stripe Checkout
Payments are processed by Stripe. No card or banking details are collected or stored by this website. Your use of Stripe Checkout is subject to Stripe's own terms.
Cancellation
You may cancel a purchase before research, planning or writing has begun for a full refund. Cancellation once work has started is governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Refunds
Refunds are addressed in the Refund and Cancellation Policy and reflect the amount of work already completed.
Intellectual-property transfer
Ownership of the final, approved content transfers to the client once payment for the engagement is fully settled. Drafts, unused concepts and internal working documents remain with WordHarbour Studio unless otherwise agreed.
Portfolio permission
Anonymised or client-approved excerpts may be shown on this website or in enquiries. Identifiable client material is only shown with express permission.
Confidentiality
Information shared during a project is treated confidentially and used only to prepare the agreed deliverables. Reasonable non-disclosure agreements can be signed before scope confirmation.
Third-party materials
Any third-party materials (for example licensed images, statistics or quoted text) remain subject to their original rights. The client is responsible for confirming any licences required for publication.
Unlawful or prohibited briefs
I reserve the right to decline briefs that are unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, hateful or that promote content harmful to readers.
No ranking or performance guarantees
No guarantee is given regarding search rankings, website traffic, leads, revenue or any other commercial outcome.
Liability limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability for any single engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. I am not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events outside their reasonable control, including illness, connectivity failure or third-party service outages.
Complaints
Any complaint should be raised in writing to hello@wordharbourstudio.co.uk. Complaints are handled in line with the Complaints Procedure.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
